[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has published a Small-scale School Facility Construction Work Manual.
On the 25th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that it created the Small-scale School Facility Construction Work Manual to help school facility construction officers understand and carry out their tasks without difficulty. The Gyeonggi Office of Education plans to distribute the manual to 2,342 institutions across the province.
This newly published manual is a revised edition following requests for reissuance from schools since its first publication in December 2018 and changes in related regulations.
The revised manual is organized by stages?▲budget planning, ▲design, ▲construction, ▲completion, and ▲maintenance?with case-centered content to help even beginners in practical work easily understand the actual difficulties on site, changes in laws and guidelines.
Regulations and work procedures related to school facility construction, frequently asked questions, and important tasks are also included with simplified field terminology and Q&A for easier access.
Shin Hyun-taek, head of the Facilities Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, said, "We hope the Small-scale School Facility Construction Work Manual will be widely used on site and greatly assist frontline schools," adding, "We will also conduct regional training sessions for facility construction practitioners to improve work efficiency and accountability."
Meanwhile, the 2020 Small-scale School Facility Construction Work Manual can be downloaded and used from the Gyeonggi Office of Education website.
