'Onward: Miracle of a Single Day' Seats Sold at 6.8%
'Chimipja' Surpasses 500,000 Viewers in 11 Days Since Release
The movie ‘Innocence’ reclaimed the top spot at the box office just two days after losing it. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 21st, the film attracted 58,146 viewers across 919 screens on the previous day (20th). Among films securing over 10,000 seats, it recorded the second-highest seat occupancy rate at 11.5%. It held a 30.1% share of total revenue and surpassed a cumulative audience of 500,000 (505,120 viewers).
‘Onward: The Magical Day’ achieved the highest seat occupancy rate at 33.6% but drew only 51,047 viewers. Its seat sales rate was limited to 6.8%. The film's revenue share stood at 26.1%, with a cumulative audience of 111,310. ‘Vanished Time’ slipped two places from the top. It attracted 44,604 viewers across 873 screens. With a single-digit seat occupancy rate (9.4%), its revenue share dropped by 4.3% to 23.2%. The cumulative audience reached 106,659.
‘Intruder’ recorded 10,770 viewers across 489 screens. Since its release on the 4th, it surpassed a cumulative audience of 500,000 (506,331 viewers) in just ten days. The seat occupancy rate was 8.5%, and the revenue share was 5.4%. ‘The Greatest Showman’ attracted 5,994 viewers on 215 screens. Among films securing over 10,000 seats, it led the re-release craze with the highest seat occupancy rate of 15.0%. Its cumulative audience reached 1,654,276. Following were ‘Baseball Girl’ (4,443 viewers), ‘Aeronauts’ (3,873 viewers), ‘My First Superstar’ (2,516 viewers), ‘Eyes on Me: The Movie’ (1,335 viewers), and ‘I Can Only Imagine’ (1,171 viewers).
The total number of moviegoers visiting theaters that day was 198,413. This was 8,867 fewer than the 207,280 recorded on the second Saturday of this month, the 13th.
