9 Stores in Pungam-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Selected as 'the BEST Good Stores'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sang-won) announced on the 16th that on the 15th, it delivered the ‘the BEST Good Store’ plaques to nine stores in Pungam-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, which have continuously participated in sharing.


The stores selected as the BEST Good Stores in Pungam-dong are ▲Samsung Digital Plaza Pungam Branch (CEO Kim Ui-cheol) ▲Dandon Sinhwa Pungam Branch (CEO Jung Mi-young) ▲Youngyang Co., Ltd. (CEO Ahn Eun-seok) ▲Haesung Distribution (CEO Lee Young-soo) ▲Silver Senior Welfare Center (Director Shin Soo-hyun) ▲Miso Baekjonghan Real Estate Agent (CEO Baek Jong-han) ▲I-World Daycare Center (Director Jin Yong-kyung) ▲Clear Sound Psychological Counseling Center (Director Park Nam-soo) ▲Living Space (CEO Ryu Shin-gyu), totaling nine stores.


At the delivery ceremony, Kim Hyun-nam, head of Pungam-dong Resident Center; Kwon Jae-hwan, chairman of the Pungam-dong Community Security Council; Park Sang-chul, head of the Planning and Public Relations Division; Park Dong-young, fundraising team leader of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea; and representatives of five the BEST Good Stores in Pungam-dong (Dandon Sinhwa Pungam Branch, Youngyang Co., Ltd., Silver Senior Welfare Center, Miso Baekjonghan Real Estate Agent, I-World Daycare Center) attended.


A Good Store refers to any small to medium-sized self-employed business that practices sharing by donating a certain amount of their sales (at least 30,000 KRW). Since the first store joined in Gwangju in August 2008, there are about 3,490 Good Stores in the region.


Ahn Eun-seok, CEO of Youngyang Co., Ltd., said, “I am very proud and happy to be able to practice sharing through the Good Store program,” and added, “I hope more stores in Pungam-dong can participate in sharing together.”


Kim Hyun-nam, head of Pungam-dong Resident Center, said, “Although these are difficult times, I thank the nine Good Stores in Pungam-dong for continuously practicing sharing for neighbors in need, and sincerely congratulate them on being selected as the BEST Good Stores.”
