[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] MK Electronics announced on the 16th that it has obtained a U.S. patent related to 'Anode Active Material for Secondary Batteries and Its Manufacturing Method.' The patent holders include MK Electronics, Samsung SDI, and Sejong University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
MK Electronics stated, "This patent improves the lifespan characteristics by enhancing the manufacturing method of silicon-based anode active materials and adding a new alloy composition material. We plan to continue active efforts for commercialization and joint research and development to further improve these characteristics."
