[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 16th that it will promote the 'Agricultural Products Online Sales Activation Project' to alleviate the difficulties faced by local agricultural food companies and farms due to the spread of COVID-19.
This project, aimed at promoting direct transactions and diversifying distribution channels by supporting non-face-to-face marketing projects such as online sales activation, targets local agricultural food manufacturing and processing companies, organizations, farmers, and farmer groups who wish to participate.
Support will be provided for necessary non-face-to-face online marketing activities such as open market online promotional advertisements, product detail page production, product video production, and storytelling to help even struggling farms.
The county recently held a briefing session for the establishment of 'Damyang Mall,' an online and offline county agricultural food platform that sells local agricultural products and processed foods.
Various sales activation projects linked to this platform will also be carried out in the future.
A county official said, "In the difficult situation caused by COVID-19, the online market is an essential sales channel for farmers and food companies," adding, "We will continue to implement various support measures to revitalize the local economy."
