[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actress Lee Jae-eun (40) revealed the reason she transitioned to a trot singer.

On the 15th, KBS 1TV's educational program 'Achim Madang' featured a segment titled "Star Actors Who Transformed into Trot Singers" in the corner.

During the broadcast, Lee Jae-eun said, "I debuted as a dance singer at first. It was not my own will. I was very young at the time, so I couldn't express my intentions."

Lee Jae-eun explained, "For my second album, I wanted to show that I majored in folk songs, learned gugak, and am good at trot as well. That's how the trot album came out. The title track is 'Asinayo'."

She added, "These days, there are many cases of songs climbing back up the charts. I'm slightly hopeful. My song is good as a labor song. It's a good song for housewives to hum while doing housework. I will look forward to today," expressing her anticipation.

When asked whether singing or acting is more difficult, Lee Jae-eun said, "Personally, since I have been an actress for a long time, singing is more difficult. I once appeared as a guest and had to sing the first verse of a song shortly after my debut, but I sang the second verse instead. The audience didn't notice, but I felt embarrassed and apologized, then sang again. From that moment, I realized 'this path is tough.'"

Meanwhile, Lee Jae-eun debuted in 1986 with the KBS drama 'Toji.' While actively working as an actress in dramas such as 'Yeon Gaesomun' and 'Moonhee,' she began her singing career in 2005 by releasing her first album, '1st Album Lee Jae-eun Single.'
