Chosun University Hospital Receives Highest Grade in 'Colorectal Cancer and Anesthesia Appropriateness Evaluation'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Director Jeong Jong-hoon) announced on the 12th that it recently received the highest grade, Grade 1, in the ‘Colorectal Cancer’ and ‘Anesthesia’ adequacy evaluations announced by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA).

Chosun University Hospital scored higher than the overall medical industry average in most colorectal cancer evaluation indicators, including ▲ the composition of specialized personnel ▲ preoperative detailed examinations ▲ and the implementation rate of chemotherapy.

Additionally, in the anesthesia adequacy evaluation, which HIRA conducted for the first time in 2018 based on medical records to assess the quality of anesthesia-related medical services and patient safety management levels, the hospital also achieved Grade 1.

To ensure the safety of anesthesia patients, Chosun University Hospital received an evaluation superior to the overall medical industry average in this assessment covering ▲ structural indicators (facilities, personnel, etc.) ▲ process indicators (safety management activities) ▲ and outcome indicators (patient condition during and after anesthesia), reaffirming its status as a leading regional hospital.

Jeong Jong-hoon, director of Chosun University Hospital, stated, “We will provide high-quality medical services through active multidisciplinary treatment in each sector and improvement of indicators to enhance medical quality in all processes from diagnosis to surgery for cancer patients.”
