United Future Party Appoints Yoon Hee-sook as Chair of Economic Innovation Committee... Lee Young and Yoon Chang-hyun Also Join

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 11th, the Emergency Committee of the United Future Party held its 4th Emergency Committee meeting and approved the appointment of Representative Yoon Hee-sook, a former member of the Korea Development Institute (KDI), as the Chairperson of the Economic Innovation Committee.

Representative Yoon, a former professor at the KDI Graduate School of International Policy, will lead the Economic Innovation Committee and concretize the blueprint for key issues such as basic income and expansion of employment insurance proposed by Emergency Committee Chairperson Kim Jong-in.

Within the Innovation Committee, three subcommittees will be formed: ▲Inclusive Economy ▲Dynamic Economy ▲Sustainable Economy. Kim Won-sik, Vice President of the Korean Economic Association; Choi Byung-il, Professor at Ewha Womans University Graduate School of International Studies; and Park Hyung-soo, Visiting Professor in the Department of Economics at Yonsei University, will each serve as subcommittee chairpersons. Representative Lee Young will participate in the Dynamic Economy subcommittee, and Representative Yoon Chang-hyun will participate in the Sustainable Economy subcommittee.

Additionally, on the same day, the Emergency Committee appointed former Representative Jeong Yang-seok as Chairperson of the Special Committee for the Production of the 21st General Election White Paper.
