Home&Shopping Supports Elementary Schools in Gangseo Area to Prepare for COVID-19

Home&Shopping Supports Elementary Schools in Gangseo Area to Prepare for COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping announced on the 7th that it is helping Gangseo-gu Gojin Elementary School prepare for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) as part of its social contribution activities.

Home&Shopping donated approximately 30 million KRW worth of items, including desk partitions, restroom hand dryers, and walk-behind wet floor cleaners, to Gojin Elementary School, where the start of the semester was postponed to early June due to a COVID-19 case confirmed at a nearby art academy in May.

The Home&Shopping social contribution team explained that desk partitions, which prevent the spread of droplet secretions, were installed on all students' desks, and hand dryers to help dry hands thoroughly after washing were provided in all restrooms.

A Home&Shopping official said, "Gojin Elementary School, with about 1,700 students, is located about 100 meters from Home&Shopping headquarters, making it the closest school, so we decided to prioritize support." He added, "We will continue various forms of social contribution activities to ensure that children and adolescents in the Gangseo-gu area can live in a healthy and safe environment."
