According to the Changwon Meteorological Office, rain began falling in the area from 3:18 PM, with recorded precipitation amounts of 19 mm in Geochang Buksang and 23.5 mm in Hamyang Seoha. Notably, in Geochang, hailstones measuring 1 cm to 2 cm in diameter fell for 20 minutes starting at 4 PM. The Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters received one report of hail falling in the area.
On this day, hail also fell not only in Geochang but in the Muju and Namwon areas of Jeonbuk.
