According to the Jeonju Meteorological Office, heavy rain began around 3:30 PM on the 6th, and as of 5 PM, recorded rainfall amounts include 25.5 mm in Donghyang-myeon, Jinan-gun, 25 mm at Deogyusan, Muju, and 3 mm in Namwon. In particular, hailstones measuring 0.5 to 1 cm in diameter fell in the Muju and Namwon areas. The hail, which fell for about 10 minutes, is expected to cause damage to apple orchards and pepper fields in these areas.
A representative from the Jeonju Meteorological Office stated, "It appears that rain accompanied by hail fell in Muju and surrounding areas," and added, "Since rainfall of around 40 mm is expected depending on the region, please be cautious in managing crops."
