Cumulative Deaths Reach 4,648 on the 6th... 18 More Than the Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] On the 6th (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) increased by 930 from the previous day, totaling 168,340. Turkey's daily new confirmed cases have remained between 700 and 900 over the past week.
The cumulative death toll was reported to have increased by 18 from the previous day, reaching 4,648. The 18 new deaths are the lowest number in over two months since March 29.
Fahrettin Koca, the Turkish Minister of Health, stated on Twitter, "In the past 24 hours, 57,829 COVID-19 tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests to 2,267,412." He added, "592 patients are receiving intensive care in the ICU, and 133,400 people (recovery rate 79%) have recovered."
