Partial Amendment to the Jeollanam-do Treasury Designation and Operation Ordinance Proposed as Main Bill
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeollanam-do Provincial Council announced on the 5th that Assemblyman Sa Sunmun has taken the lead in proposing the "Partial Amendment to the Jeollanam-do Treasury Designation and Operation Ordinance," which will set a new milestone for the selection of the Jeonnam provincial treasury, and it passed the Planning and Administration Committee review on the 3rd.
This ordinance aims to alleviate excessive competition among banks during the selection of the provincial treasury and to select the optimal treasury that can contribute to revitalizing the local economy, thereby increasing the satisfaction of the residents.
It also reflects the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's standards for designating local government treasuries and adjusts evaluation criteria appropriately by comparing cases from other cities and provinces to fit our circumstances.
In particular, new evaluation items were introduced to consider the convenience of local residents, such as the number of unmanned branches within the jurisdiction and the number of ATM installations.
Assemblyman Sa Sunmun stated, "We will strive to select a treasury that is convenient to use and financially sound by alleviating excessive competition in cooperative project expenses, improving credit evaluation methods that consider small and medium-sized banks, and thereby contribute to the local economy."
Meanwhile, this ordinance is scheduled to be approved at the 2nd plenary session to be held on the 17th.
