[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Park Jun-hyung of the group god pointed out that "there is a disease called racism in this world" in response to the death of George Floyd in the United States.

On the 5th, Park Jun-hyung wrote on his social network service (SNS), "When I was young, I honestly didn't even know what racism was," adding, "Even when others treated me differently, excluded me, hit me, and bullied me, I thought it was natural and my fault because I looked different."

Park said, "In the meantime, I became stronger out of stubbornness, and as time passed, I realized that the attitude people showed me was very bad. It was discrimination against humans. I did nothing wrong. The only reason was that my skin color and appearance were different."

He continued, "Those people were uneducated. They took out their shortcomings on others, and it was their mental illness," adding, "Because it still exists, this world has that disease called racism. It hasn't changed at all."

He then said, "We need to learn to treat others as if they were me, my family, or my friends," confessing, "Honestly, if it weren't for my family, my true good friends, music, drawing, surfing, skating, and God, I might not be here."

Park Jun-hyung emphasized, "People need to learn a lot about racism. They need to open their hearts and minds a little more."

Meanwhile, on the 26th (local time), a black man named George Floyd died due to excessive force by a white police officer in Minnesota, USA.

As protests against racism sparked by this incident spread worldwide, the first memorial service for George Floyd was held on the 4th (local time).
