Implementation of the Civil Petition Guardian System at Deogyusan National Park Office

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dal-young] The Deogyusan National Park Office of the Korea National Park Service (Director Yang Hae-seung) announced that starting from the 3rd, it will implement a civil service guardian system for complex civil complaints and preliminary inquiries related to permits.

The civil service guardian system designates an employee with relevant work experience as a guardian to assist applicants who find it difficult to apply for activity permits within the national park, guiding or supporting them throughout the entire process from the start to the conclusion of the civil complaint.

The civil service guardian will serve as a helper for applicants throughout the entire activity permit civil complaint process, including consultation on civil complaint handling methods and procedures, assistance with civil complaint document preparation, guidance on related regulations, and support for civil complaint processing.

The main target civil complaints are activities such as activity permits and park project implementation permits under the {$_Natural Parks Act. Applicants can apply by following the guidance of the permit staff when submitting activity permit civil complaints under the {$_Natural Parks Act, and once a civil service guardian is designated, they will receive guidance on the processing steps and support until the civil complaint is completed.

Kim Jae-gap, Head of the Resource Conservation Division at Deogyusan National Park Office, stated, “Through the implementation of the civil service guardian system, we will minimize inconveniences for applicants and strive to enhance trust in the institution through fair and transparent work processing.”
