Mamstouch Haemaro appoints Lee Byung-yoon, former CJ·SPC executive, as new CEO

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Haemaro Food Service, a dining company operating the burger and chicken brand Mom's Touch, announced on the 1st that it has appointed Lee Byung-yoon (50) as President and CEO of the Business Division.

Haemaro appointed President Lee as the new professional CEO after the private equity fund (PEF) KL & Partners completed the acquisition of 55,894,066 shares (57.74%) of former Haemaro Food Service Chairman Jeong Hyun-sik on February 19.

President Lee is a Haemaro public recruitment alumnus and worked in the planning team and overseas business team of Popeyes, a global fast-food brand introduced domestically by TS Haemaro, the predecessor of Haemaro. He later gained experience in the dining sector at CJ Group's dining division, CJ Foodville, E-Land Park, and SPC Samlip.

In an internal notice at Haemaro, President Lee said, "Since my first job was operating the Popeyes business at TS Haemaro, I personally feel Haemaro Food Service is more familiar and like home." He added, "Although there will be many environmental changes and competition, both similar to and completely different from the past, I will do my best to gather the company's strength and capabilities to become a more developed and growing company."
