Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to Open from June 2... Free Reading Rooms Arranged in Zigzag Pattern
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), four public libraries in the Ulsan area, which had only been handling reference room services, will fully open, including reading rooms, starting June 2.
On the 31st, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that as the 'social distancing in daily life' quarantine system continues, the operation of the four city libraries will be expanded from reference room lending and returns to free reading rooms, and lifelong education lectures and reading culture events will be gradually resumed.
The operating hours for the reference rooms and free reading rooms are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, the number of seats will be reduced to one-third, and each seat will be arranged in a zigzag pattern to maintain distance between users and minimize contact.
Upon entering the library, visitors must undergo a temperature check, use hand sanitizer, and fill out a visitor log before entry is permitted. Entry is restricted for those not wearing masks, those with a fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, individuals showing respiratory symptoms, and those who have entered the country from abroad within the past two weeks.
