[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju FTA Utilization Support Center, operated by the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Jeong Chang-seon), announced on the 29th that it will conduct an "FTA Utilization Expert Training" for local export company FTA managers from the 11th to the 12th of next month in Lecture Room 2 of the underground education center at the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This training was established to strengthen the FTA response capabilities of local companies' export-import personnel and to cultivate local experts. Upon completion of the training, 20 points will be awarded for certified exporters.
The lectures will be conducted over 14 hours by professional customs brokers Park Hyun-soo (Day 1) and Shin Sang-tae (Day 2), focusing on ▲FTA overview ▲product classification ▲rules of origin determination ▲certificate of origin preparation ▲certified exporters, among other topics.
This training serves as a basic course, differentiated in difficulty from the advanced course scheduled for September, allowing beginner export companies and those needing fundamental knowledge about exports to take the courses step-by-step.
On Day 1, theoretical lectures will focus on the FTA overview, product classification, and rules of origin determination. On Day 2, the training will center on the preparation of certificates of origin and the creation and practice of origin explanation documents, which are challenging for export companies. It is expected to be greatly helpful for companies wishing to issue certificates of origin in the future.
Applications can be submitted online through the education notices on the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry website until the 5th of next month.
