[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] BJ Cheolgu, who was embroiled in controversy for allegedly making sexually harassing remarks toward BJ Edirin, has come forward to clarify the situation.

On the 29th, during a live broadcast on his 'AfreecaTV' channel, Cheolgu stated, "It is important how the listener perceives it (whether it is sexual harassment or not)," and added, "Unless I touched that person's body, if the person involved found it funny and did not feel ashamed, then it is not sexual harassment."

During the broadcast, he also contacted Edirin and apologized, saying, "I am sorry for being too angry yesterday," and "Since Edirin knows my style, I thought you would respond like me, but I apologize if you were embarrassed."

In a phone call with Cheolgu, Edirin responded, "Cheolgu, you don't need to apologize," and said, "I did not feel any shame. I have been watching a lot of recent broadcasts, so I knew that was your style."

After hearing Edirin's response, Cheolgu said after hanging up, "She said she didn't feel ashamed. It's settled for now."

Previously, on the 28th, Cheolgu conducted a joint broadcast with Edirin. At that time, he made remarks such as "It's my style" and "It makes me excited." When Edirin did not respond, he swore, saying, "Turn off the mic, you blockhead," which sparked controversy.

Meanwhile, Cheolgu temporarily paused his internet broadcasting activities in 2018 to enlist in the military and returned on the 24th.
