Hwang Gyu-hwan, deputy spokesperson of the United Future Party, stated in a commentary on the same day, "Since Yoon, who had remained silent while the whole country was in turmoil, held a press conference just one day before the start of her term as a member of the National Assembly, there was never any expectation of sincerity," expressing this view.
He criticized, "Nevertheless, in front of the public who hoped for at least a minimum conscience, Yoon bowed her head but maintained a confident attitude; she apologized but showed no remorse."
Deputy spokesperson Hwang continued, "Yoon dismissed allegations of accounting fraud, misuse of donations, and embezzlement as 'malicious reports.' Regarding sensitive matters such as fundraising, she evaded responsibility with the convenient excuse of 'under investigation by the prosecution,'" and raised his voice, saying, "She refused to resign despite saying she would take corresponding responsibility."
He evaluated, "Ultimately, it was a press conference that only conveyed the thought of 'just endure today.'"
Deputy spokesperson Hwang said, "Yoon may think this is the end, but it is just the beginning," and added, "From tomorrow, the public will have no choice but to see 'Assemblywoman Yoon Mi-hyang,' but the position of assemblywoman will not be able to protect her." He further stated, "If her words about not clinging to her position are sincere, resigning voluntarily and undergoing investigation would be the minimum duty to the public."
