[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 29th that starting in June, it will begin accepting applications for ‘Professional Consultation and On-site Coaching’ to provide stable growth support to farmers facing great difficulties due to the domestic economic downturn, in cooperation with the Jeonbuk Rural Convergence Industry Support Center.

The target applicants for professional consultation and on-site coaching are agricultural-related individuals located in rural areas, such as farmers and prospective entrepreneurs. This project provides customized consulting by having experts in each field visit the site directly to resolve difficulties occurring in the field.

The support areas include three fields: management (management strategy, marketing, public relations, finance, design, rural tourism, etc.), technology (product development, new or expanded factory construction, quality control, HACCP, hygiene management, ICT, etc.), as well as any other areas in which farmers wish to receive coaching.

Farmers wishing to apply can do so online via the Jeonbuk Rural Convergence Industry Support Center website and email, and offline applications via phone, visit, or fax are also accepted.

Additionally, Jeonbuk Province and the Jeonbuk Rural Convergence Industry Support Center regularly inspect and monitor the project implementation status to prevent fraud and moral hazard, and have formed a pool of experts with abundant field experience and knowledge to enhance the project’s substance.

As a result, the project showed a high satisfaction rate averaging 97 points last year, providing customized growth plans to farms and discovering leading farms with growth potential, thereby inducing farm income generation and revitalizing the local economy.

Choi Jaeyong, Director of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Bureau of Jeonbuk Province, said, “Last year, Jeonbuk Province ranked first nationwide in demand for on-site coaching, and to promote stable management growth within the province, the budget for on-site coaching projects has been significantly increased this year. We plan to focus all our capabilities on continuously systematizing a virtuous cycle structure of the rural economy that takes a step further based on the rural convergence industry support program.”
