[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] The HDI Human Development Institute will hold a breakfast forum on the prospects of Korea-Japan relations.

The HDI Human Development Institute announced on the 29th that it will hold a breakfast forum titled "How to Resolve Korea-Japan Relations" at 7 a.m. on the 4th of next month at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul.

Im Sang-bin, Chairman of the Korea-Japan Cultural Industry Exchange Association, who plays a catalytic role at the civilian level in Korea-Japan relations, will be the speaker. He plans to create an opportunity to resolve and discuss the recently intensified conflicts between the two countries.

Chairman Im has facilitated visits to Korea by influential incumbent Japanese politicians and meetings between top leaders amid the cooling period in Korea-Japan relations following the recent GSOMIA termination declaration. He is recognized as a Korea-Japan expert who understands Japan's movements and plays a significant role in civilian diplomacy.

The forum will discuss history, culture, and economy issues such as comfort women, Dokdo, and textbook controversies. Kwon Dae-bong, President of Incheon Jaeneung University and Honorary Professor at Korea University, will serve as the moderator.
