[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyeong] JB Financial Group Jeonbuk Bank (President Im Yong-taek) announced that starting from the 1st of next month, it will hold the ‘Jeonbuk Bank New Foreign Currency Deposit Friend (79) Preferential Event’ until December 31, offering up to 90% preferential exchange rates through non-face-to-face channels for new foreign currency deposit customers.
The event targets individual and corporate customers who open foreign currency demand deposits and foreign currency time deposits through Jeonbuk Bank’s internet banking, New Smart Banking, BDT, and mobile web during the event period. For foreign currency demand deposits, newly opened accounts at branch counters during the event period are also included.
Customers holding eligible accounts can receive preferential exchange rate benefits when conducting transactions between a minimum of USD 100 and a maximum of USD 100,000 per transaction via Jeonbuk Bank internet banking or New Smart Banking during the event period, depending on the transaction currency and product transaction type.
Regarding transaction currencies, the US Dollar (USD) receives a 90% preferential exchange rate, while the Japanese Yen (JPY), Euro (EUR), and Chinese Yuan (CNY) receive an 80% preferential exchange rate.
Additionally, for foreign currency demand deposits, preferential exchange rates are provided for deposit or withdrawal transactions, and for foreign currency time deposits, preferential exchange rates are provided upon new deposit openings.
A Jeonbuk Bank official stated, “We have prepared a long-term event for individual customers interested in foreign exchange investments including the US dollar, and corporate customers sensitive to exchange rates such as import-export companies with frequent foreign exchange transactions. Since the event benefits are provided through non-face-to-face channels, we will focus on strengthening untact foreign exchange services going forward.”
