[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver will officially launch its paid membership service, 'Naver Plus Membership,' on the 1st of next month.
According to Naver on the 29th, the membership price is 4,900 KRW per month. Membership registration will be available from 3 PM on the 1st, and a one-month free promotion will also be offered.
Members can earn up to 5% rewards (including a basic 1% purchase reward) based on their monthly purchase amount when paying with Naver Pay on Naver services such as shopping and reservations. For digital content benefits, members can choose and use four of the following: ▲ 20 Naver Webtoon Series Cookies ▲ 300 listens on VIBE music ▲ 3,300 KRW cash for SeriesOn movies and broadcasts ▲ 100GB additional Naver Cloud usage voucher ▲ audiobook rental discount coupon.
By paying an additional fee on top of the monthly usage fee, members can also upgrade their selected digital content benefits. Members who choose the ‘300 listens on VIBE music’ benefit can pay an additional 3,850 KRW per month to use the 'unlimited monthly streaming service.' Users who select the Naver Cloud voucher can pay an additional 2,200 KRW or 7,700 KRW to upgrade their storage to 200GB or 2TB, respectively.
Han Jaeyoung, the leader who planned Naver Plus Membership, stated, "We will do our best to ensure that Naver Plus Membership provides various benefits to users while serving as a catalyst to drive sales growth for small and medium-sized merchants," adding, "Furthermore, we hope this will lead to a positive trend where a wider variety of creators and small and medium-sized merchants are spotlighted."
