[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actors Jung Young-sook and Nam Neung-mi shared their thoughts on marriage.
On the 29th, KBS1's educational program 'Achim Madang' featured Jung Young-sook, Nam Neung-mi, Choi Byung-seo, Hong Hye-gul, Yeo Esther, Oh Jung-tae, Baek Ah-young, Lee Seung-shin, and Yang Ji-won, who discussed their views on marriage.
During the broadcast, Jung Young-sook said, "When you get married, you have many dreams. You expect to be treated like a princess, but once you enter daily life, you start giving up on things one by one and become indifferent. Rather than affection, I think marriage is about trusting and relying on each other, and whether you like or dislike each other, you grow fond of one another and live together like this."
In response, Nam Neung-mi explained, "Love has no expiration date, and as twilight years come, you enter a newlywed phase again. When you are young, it lasts until you have children, and after having children, all your focus shifts to them, so the newlywed period is short. When you marry off your children and live separately, only the two of you remain."
Nam Neung-mi continued, "From then on, the third act of life begins. You let go of all the hardships from your youth and do what you want with just the two of you. Living with such a comfortable heart, when you get older, you return to being newlyweds again."
