Hanglas, Korea's First Non-Tempered Double Roy Released... Production Time 'Reduced'

Achieving the Same Insulation Performance as Previous Doubloy Without Heat Treatment

Hanglas, Korea's First Non-Tempered Double Roy Released... Production Time 'Reduced'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Hanglas, a glass specialty company, announced on the 29th that it has launched SKN154, the first double Low-E glass in Korea that can be used without tempering.

SKN154 is a product that achieves the same insulation and shielding performance as the previous model SKN154II without heat treatment. SKN154, which can be used without tempering, omits the tempering process caused by product heat treatment, significantly reducing the manufacturing time of double Low-E insulated glass and advancing on-site delivery time.

Furthermore, unlike existing double Low-E products that were limited to certain insulated glass processing facilities due to mandatory tempering processes, SKN154 can be used at all insulated glass processing sites, making product supply much smoother.

A Hanglas official said, “We developed SKN154 exclusively for non-tempered use to resolve complaints about delivery delays caused by the tempering process and market dissatisfaction due to limited manufacturers in the expanding double Low-E market. SKN154 can be supplied for both tempered and non-tempered uses according to the application, expanding the existing market as well as consumer choices.”
