CJ CheilJedang announced on the 29th that it decided to participate in the 'TGE' program at the 'UNGC Korea Network General Assembly' held yesterday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. 'TGE' is a program for 'ensuring women's social participation and leadership opportunities' by companies that have joined the UNGC, aiming to increase the proportion of female executives among UNGC member companies.

Through this program, CJ CheilJedang plans to self-assess the company's women's empowerment based on UNGC's gender gap analysis tool. In addition, it plans to hold workshops with program stakeholders to discuss women's empowerment.

CJ CheilJedang applies gender equality to all HR systems including compensation systems, evaluation systems, and wage structures, leading efforts to strengthen women's capabilities and leadership. Last year, it officially declared support for the 'Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs),' a joint initiative of UNGC and UN Women, voluntarily pursuing gender equality and strengthening women's competitiveness.

A CJ CheilJedang official said, "Diverse human resources are essential for sustainable corporate management and securing mid- to long-term competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to make greater efforts to internalize a corporate culture of gender equality."
