Yangcheon-gu, Bucheon Coupang-related Mok 2-dong 50s Female Confirmed Case Reported

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has reported its 27th confirmed COVID-19 case.

Ms. A (Mok 2-dong, female in her 50s) developed symptoms such as headache and sore throat on the 26th, and on the morning of the 27th, she requested a specimen test at the Gangseo-gu Public Health Center screening clinic. She tested positive that same afternoon.

Ms. A is one of the confirmed cases related to the Bucheon Coupang Logistics Center, and two of her cohabitants have completed testing and are currently awaiting results.

The Gangseo-gu Public Health Center, where Ms. A was tested, is conducting basic and in-depth epidemiological investigations. Yangcheon-gu has transferred Ms. A to Seonam Hospital, a national isolation facility, and disinfected the patient's residence and common areas of the apartment complex (entrances, hallways, stairs, etc.).

Additionally, the district announced that it will promptly and accurately disclose the confirmed patient's movement routes on the Yangcheon-gu website and social media (blog, Instagram) as soon as they are confirmed.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, "Although we have shifted to a daily quarantine system, it is not time to be complacent. In multi-use facilities, people must maintain a certain distance and wear masks properly." He added, "It is time to strictly adhere to quarantine rules for the safety of ourselves and our community."
