Kangwon Land Extends Closure Until June 4 Due to COVID-19 Spread

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kangwon Land has decided to extend the closure of its general casino operations until June 4 due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

On the 27th, Kangwon Land held an emergency countermeasure meeting at its headquarters and made this decision. Initially, it had decided to conduct a limited pilot operation of the general casino from the 28th, but due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases on the 26th and 27th, the closure period was extended again. The casino has been closed for over three months since February 23.

Kangwon Land stated, "The schedule for the pilot operation of the general casino will be decided later after comprehensively reviewing the trend of COVID-19 spread and the response level of health authorities."
