[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 25th that it held a farm-to-table party event inviting urban consumers.
Under the theme of "Healing Party with Peony Flowers," the event was held recently at Sinseonhae Farm (CEO Jang Seul-gi) in Chiljeon-ri, Uisin-myeon, featuring experiences such as a peony flower field (1 hectare), healthy meal experience, making peony bouquets, and gayageum performances in the forest.
Sinseonhae Farm cultivates sweet potatoes, mini chestnut pumpkins, and medicinal crops using natural circulation farming methods in the clean mountain valleys of Jindo, allowing consumers to safely enjoy the produce.
In particular, using the crops they grow themselves, they sell various products under the brand name Herb Ash, including pomegranate arrowroot liquid tea, goji berry (gugija) liquid tea, goji berry pumpkin liquid tea, and handmade roasted teas made from medicinal crops.
They also operate the Idus online shopping mall, specializing in handmade products.
A customer who participated in the event said, "I trust the products because they use agricultural products produced in such a clean area, and I plan to continue using them steadily."
CEO Jang Seul-gi said, "It is regrettable that we could not invite many customers this year due to COVID-19, but next year we want to prepare more thoroughly and share the event with more consumers."
An official from the Jindo-gun Agricultural Technology Center said, "We will continue to make efforts to revitalize rural areas and promote continuous communication between farms and customers to activate agricultural product sales."
