AI Expert Training Started Late Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Mobis is focusing on establishing a nurturing system to strengthen talent-centered management. In particular, this year is planned to be the inaugural year for the full-scale implementation of a systematic talent development program.
According to Hyundai Mobis on the 25th, the company began open recruitment for new employees in mid-last month and is preparing for the first practical interview next month. The hybrid recruitment method combines regular public recruitment and occasional hiring. Regular public recruitment has the advantage of securing excellent talent linked to graduation timing, while occasional hiring allows for continuous recruitment of customized talent suited to the characteristics of the current departments. Hyundai Mobis maintained a recruitment method centered on regular public recruitment until 2018, switched to occasional hiring last year, and introduced hybrid recruitment this year.
Along with this, Hyundai Mobis has been conducting an 'AI Expert Training Program' since the end of last year to enhance the AI utilization capabilities of all employees. The AI expert training course, which started last year, will be officially operated from this year as a job training course twice a year, each lasting six months. The goal is to nurture about 20 practical, field-oriented AI personnel annually.
Additionally, efforts are being made to transform the corporate culture so that future-oriented talents can fully demonstrate their capabilities. A representative example is the 'Idea Proposal Board' launched for all employees since May last year. As of May this year, more than 750 ideas have been posted on the board. Until 2018, ideas were collected through contests, but since last year, the board has been operated year-round to allow continuous proposals.
In fact, the virtual engine sound system (AVAS) using an electric vehicle grill cover, selected as the best idea in the 2018 idea contest, has recently succeeded in securing technology after a specific research and development process. It is the world's first technology to use an electric vehicle grill as a speaker diaphragm. Last year, ideas such as the 'ultrasonic vibration lens cleaner' that automatically cleans rainwater from the rear vehicle camera and the 'emergency lane secondary accident prevention system' to prevent accidents caused by roadside parking were selected as the best ideas and are currently undergoing technology verification stages.
