Applications open until June 8... For local residents aged 20 and over... Discover and publish on-site reports, heartwarming stories, and more
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Chang-woo Lee) will operate the "5th Dongjak-gu Newsletter Honorary Reporters Group" for communication administration with residents until June next year.
Since 2012, the honorary reporters group has played the role of a communication channel by delivering district news and good news stories through on-site coverage in the monthly Dongjak-gu newsletter and collecting residents' opinions.
The 16 members of the 4th Dongjak-gu Newsletter Honorary Reporters Group, selected in 2018, actively carried out 17 meetings, 2 training sessions, and 47 on-site coverages.
The district is recruiting the 5th Dongjak-gu Newsletter Honorary Reporters Group, who will be active for two years starting from July this year, until June 8.
Anyone aged 20 or older residing in the area who can work on a computer (including students and office workers in Dongjak-gu) can apply. Preference is given to those with experience in related fields, winners of poetry and prose contests, and residents active on SNS.
Through screening, 15 residents of various classes and ages will be selected to perform activities such as ▲ on-site coverage of events in each neighborhood ▲ discovering good news stories and writing articles ▲ coverage on various groups such as women, seniors, and multicultural families ▲ collecting residents' opinions for regional development ▲ promoting various policies.
In particular, since March last year, the district has been publishing the "Dongjak Senior Newsletter," which provides customized services such as larger font size and expanded pages for seniors.
The selected honorary reporters will engage in coverage activities for specialized articles tailored to seniors' needs, not only for the general newsletter but also for the senior newsletter.
Residents wishing to participate can download the application form from the district's homepage and submit it by mail or visit to the Public Relations Division, or send it via email (glacia1004@dongjak.go.kr).
The announcement will be posted on the district homepage and individually notified in June. Selected honorary reporters will receive a letter of appointment and an honorary reporter ID card.
Additionally, training on article writing will be provided, and a fixed manuscript fee will be paid when articles are published through on-site coverage..
Kim Mi-ja, head of the Public Relations Division, said, "The role of the honorary reporters who deliver local news from the field and convey residents' opinions in the district newsletter is very important," and added, "We ask for active participation from residents who will join with interest and passion for district administration."
