KB Insurance Offers 10% Discount on Connected Car Safe Driving Insurance Premiums

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] KB Insurance announced on the 21st that it has partnered with Hyundai and Kia Motors to launch a special rider for usage-based insurance called 'Connected Car Safe Driving Discount.'

Customers using Hyundai's Blue Link service, Kia's UVO service, or Genesis' Genesis Connected service who subscribe to this rider will receive a 10% discount on their insurance premium if they drive more than 1000 km over 90 days and achieve a safe driving score of 70 or higher.

This is available only for personal auto insurance and can be subscribed to for vehicles whose insurance renewal date falls on or after the 25th.

KB Insurance has been selling the 'T map Safe Driving Discount Rider,' a usage-based insurance product utilizing smartphone navigation (T map), in partnership with SK Telecom since 2017.

Kim Min-ki, Executive Director of the Auto Insurance Division at KB Insurance, said, "Through joint marketing with Hyundai and Kia Motors, we expect a 'win-win' growth by providing benefits to more customers.
