[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Able C&C's cosmetics brand A'PIEU announced on the 19th that it has appointed singer Taeyeon as its exclusive model.
Taeyeon began her official model activities on the 1st by shooting key product photo shoots for items such as the 'Born to Be Madproof Mascara' and 'Super Air Fit Mild Sunscreen.'
The photo shoots will be released on A'PIEU's official online mall My Nungkeu.com, social networking services (SNS), and nationwide stores. The 'Born to Be Madproof Mascara,' known for its strong lasting power, will be available for purchase on the online mall starting from the 20th.
A'PIEU plans to carry out various marketing activities with Taeyeon. Promotional events exclusive to A'PIEU, such as photocards and handwritten signed kits, will also be introduced.
The company explained that Taeyeon's fresh charm and image as a beauty icon who loves cosmetics matched well with A'PIEU, which was the background for selecting her as the model.
Since debuting in 2007 with the group Girls' Generation, Taeyeon has actively pursued a solo career, releasing her first solo album in 2015 and participating in drama OSTs. Her recently released new song "Happy" has received great love, topping music charts immediately after its release.
Jungmin Cho, head of A'PIEU, said, "Since Taeyeon usually enjoys using A'PIEU tints, we judged that it would create good synergy," adding, "We will enhance brand intimacy through diverse activities such as photo shoots and promotional events."
