[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Kyowon Group announced on the 13th that its affiliate Kyowon Life is expanding its acquisition of funeral halls.
Kyowon Life is a funeral service specialist company that has been providing services to customers for 10 years. As part of a new business initiative, it has been acquiring funeral halls since 2018, starting with the Pyeongtaek Funeral Culture Center in Gyeonggi Province, and has additionally purchased funeral halls located in Hwaseong, Asan in Chungnam, and Gimhae in Gyeongnam.
This month, it also acquired the Yeongdeungpo National Funeral Hall in Seoul. The company plans to expand its funeral infrastructure nationwide.
Kyowon Life aims to secure new customers for its funeral services and achieve 1 million contracts by 2021.
A Kyowon Life representative said, "Since launching our funeral services, we have introduced various products and services based on stable finances so that customers can use them with greater peace of mind and convenience. We will continue to grow as a comprehensive funeral service company equipped with nationwide funeral infrastructure and professional operational capabilities, not only providing funeral services but also serving as a lifelong partner to our customers."
