Jinan-gun "Heal Your Mind and Body Tired from COVID-19 at Sanyakcho Town"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyoung] Jinan-gun introduced two walking spots around Maisan, ‘Maisan Lovers’ Path’ and ‘Wild Herb Town,’ on the 4th, to help relieve mental fatigue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Jinan-gun on the 4th, Maisan Lovers’ Path, established as a popular spot for love confessions, is a trail between the two peaks of Bubu Peak. The 1.9 km gentle slope and dense forest from the northern parking lot of Maisan Provincial Park to the summit create a space that blends naturally with nature itself.

Additionally, this area has been newly renovated with sculptures and event plates representing the stages of a couple’s relationship themed around love, attracting visitors’ attention. The sculptures start with a finger heart and heart tree, followed by Smile Zone, Hug Zone, Kiss Zone, Heart Zone, Proposal Zone, and a sculpture of Yi Seong-gye, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, whose founding legend is embedded here.

Another healing spot is the Wild Herb Town Starlight Sound Garden.

During the day, visitors can enjoy a walk along the Wild Herb Town trail, which is themed with Sasang Constitution Garden, Herb Garden, and Ecology Learning Center. At night, they can take stunning life shots at the Starlight Sound Garden, where landscape lighting was installed last year.

Throughout the walking path, a starlit world harmonizing naturally and fantastically with nature is created with Milky Way lights, firefly lights, phosphorescent stones, flower lights, reed lights, animal lights, and moon lights, transforming it into a high-quality nighttime tourist attraction.

A county official said, “Maisan, recognized as Korea’s top travel destination with three stars in the Michelin Green Guide, invites couples and families to take a quiet and lovely walk along the trail.”
