[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) is recruiting '2020 Village Lecturers "Jongno Cider"' to satisfy residents' desire for learning by utilizing excellent human resources in the village who possess both expertise and friendliness.
This village lecturer recruitment aims to strengthen the lifelong education network within the region and to build and share a talent pool.
The meaning of 'Jongno Cider' reflects the expectation that village lecturers will quench the thirst for learning of lifelong education consumers in Jongno, just like cider that refreshingly clears the mind.
Additionally, it embodies the meaning of 'In Jongno, the path of learning grows together, communicating with neighbors and lifelong education in all directions!'
The recruitment period is from May 11 to June 5.
The target applicants are residents who possess professional knowledge in the recruitment fields and have more than five years of teaching experience.
The total number of selected candidates is about 20, and the recruitment fields are five categories based on the 6th classification of Korean lifelong education programs: ▲Basic Literacy (Korean, math classes, etc.) ▲Vocational Skills (certificate acquisition, employment and entrepreneurship-related education) ▲Humanities and General Knowledge (history, literature, philosophy, foreign languages) ▲Culture and Arts (art, photography, crafts, etc.) ▲Citizen Education (resident autonomy, human rights, training of local activists).
If you wish to apply, submit the village lecturer application form, lecture plan, and supporting documents such as certificates related to the recruitment field, career certificates, or graduation certificates through the Jongno-gu Lifelong Learning Center website (https://lle.jongno.go.kr). The document forms can be downloaded from the Lifelong Learning Center website.
The district office plans to conduct a first round of document screening, followed by a second round of interviews in June to assess the qualifications and abilities for village lecturer activities.
