Through this MOU, Deeep's customized food database (DB) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based food recommendation technology will be combined with Daktok, which has a healthcare and nutrition expert network on Naver Knowledge iN, to build a platform that can provide food nutrition content.
The companies expect to expand the market that can satisfy the public's desire for a healthy life and experts' desire to share and disseminate knowledge.
Deeep's data food database iF® DB is a database of 27 million food-metabolite-phenotype data built on big data processing technology, serving as the foundation for customized food recommendation services based on scientific evidence and core information.
Additionally, by combining the professional capabilities and networks of both companies, they will develop an AI-based video content creation platform and establish a cooperative system to lead the expert knowledge sharing business.
Kang Byungcheol, CEO of Deeep, said, "The iF® DB was created based on the philosophy of ‘Yakshikdongwon (藥食同源)’, meaning food is medicine and all origins of life and death begin with food. By providing optimized food information for individuals, we will contribute to improving the quality of life of the public together with Dakfriends' Naver Knowledge iN healthcare expert content and lead the customized food content market."
Kim Kyungmin, Co-CEO of Dakfriends, said, "Dakfriends, with the mission of creating a platform where everyone can have a primary care physician and be connected to one, and Deeep, which possesses the core technology of Insilico Food (iF®), are developing data-based services such as customized diet recommendation services for smart healthcare. We are pleased to be able to provide valuable services to the doctors, experts, and users of the Daktok platform."
