[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Korea Center, which operates MakeShop, an integrated e-commerce solution company, announced on the 20th that it will proceed with the second season of the project 'MakeShop Dahejum' for successful shopping mall startups.
MakeShop Dahejum, first introduced in April last year, is a customer-tailored project by MakeShop designed to ensure stable operation and increased sales of shopping malls. It aims to build a shopping mall, which usually takes more than four weeks on average, within just one week and achieve satisfactory sales results within six months after startup.
Participants in the project can use MakeShop free of charge for one year, including initial setup costs, and receive free services such as payment gateway (PG), six types of simple payment services, and mobile payment services, supporting setup costs worth up to 3 million KRW.
By participating in the event of KSNET, a payment gateway company partnered with MakeShop, users can use MakeShop free of charge for up to two years. Additionally, systematic expert consulting is provided, including Shop Inside educational consulting necessary for each store's operation and shopping mall diagnosis through the Seller Community.
For product procurement, which is the most challenging part for entrepreneurs, MakeShop plans to provide comprehensive shopping mall startup support by utilizing its own 'ShipToBe' service and 'Domeui Sin,' a partner company of MakeShop.
A MakeShop representative said, "The average sales of stores that received consulting through the MakeShop Dahejum project last year grew by more than 150%," adding, "We will strive harder to lower the entry barriers for shopping mall startups and create a sustainable startup ecosystem."
