[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Changwon Office of Education in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it will implement the province's first 'Drive-pick Civil Service' to protect citizens' health from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This service was prepared to participate in the 'social distancing' campaign to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to allow both civil petitioners and staff to handle civil affairs more safely from infectious diseases.
The Drive-pick Civil Service allows petitioners to apply for the desired documents by phone and specify the preferred date and time for receipt. Without visiting the civil service office, they can verify their identity and receive the requested documents at the first-floor parking lot of the Changwon Office of Education.
The service will operate from the 13th until the COVID-19 infectious disease situation ends, and it is available for issuing most civil documents such as graduation certificates, career certificates, and verification of academy operation.
Park Jin-woo, head of the Administrative Support Division at the Changwon Office of Education, explained, "This service was implemented to eliminate customers' anxiety about COVID-19 infection and to allow civil affairs to be handled more safely and quickly."
