[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Singer Kim Sanghyuk, formerly of the group Click-B, and shopping mall CEO Song Daye are undergoing divorce proceedings just one year after their marriage. As rumors of domestic violence surfaced as the reason for Kim Sanghyuk's divorce, his agency has announced plans for legal action.

On the 8th, a representative from Kim Sanghyuk's agency Coen Stars told a media outlet, "The rumor that Kim Sanghyuk assaulted Song Daye leading to their divorce is completely false," adding, "If these malicious rumors continue, we will have no choice but to take legal action."

Previously, on the 7th, Kim Sanghyuk posted on his Instagram, "Two imperfect people met and tried hard to live well. We should have healed each other's wounds and lived happily, but I am sorry for not showing a happy image. I think this is my fault. I am truly sorry and struggling to share this news," announcing his divorce from Song Daye.

Currently, the two have recently agreed to divorce and are proceeding with the legal process.

However, on online communities and elsewhere, unverified posts have spread, claiming "The two divorced due to Kim Sanghyuk's violence," and "The reason Song Daye wore an eye patch before marriage was also because of abuse."

In particular, an incident last year before their wedding, when Song Daye fell and had bruising around her eye, has been reexamined. At that time, Song Daye posted on her Instagram, "I fell down the stairs and hit my eye on the railing. All the blood vessels in my eye burst and I had a bruise," along with a photo wearing an eye patch.

Some netizens suspected from the photo that she might have been assaulted by Kim Sanghyuk.

In response, Song Daye explained on her Instagram, "I tripped on the rubber stair protector with the tip of my shoe and fell, hitting the railing right in front of me between my eye and cheekbone, which is why I had to wear the eye patch," adding, "I don't even know why I have to explain this in detail, but I swear on everything I have that this is real."

Meanwhile, Kim Sanghyuk and Song Daye married on April 7 last year after two years of dating. They revealed their wedding ceremony on TV Chosun's 'The Taste of Wife, Nowhere Else in the World.'
