Miryang City Provides Up to 300,000 KRW Support for Industrial Complex Workers' Dormitory Rent

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 8th, Miryang City announced that it will implement the 'Industrial Complex Dormitory Rent Support Project,' which supports the dormitory rent for workers of small and medium-sized enterprises within the industrial complex.

This project, supported after being selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Industrial Complex Environment Improvement Contest Project, partially supports the rent when small and medium-sized enterprises located within the complex rent apartments to provide dormitories for their workers.

The support is targeted at companies located in Sapo·Yongjeon General Industrial Complex, Chodong·Hanam·Mijeon Agricultural and Industrial Complex, and only workers with less than 5 years of service are eligible. Additionally, the proportion of newly hired employees with less than 6 months of service must be at least 20% of the total applicants.

The city supports 80% of the monthly dormitory rent, up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW. The application deadline is until the 14th, and detailed information can be found on the Miryang City Hall website.

A Miryang City official stated, "We hope that the support for industrial complex dormitory rent will provide economic assistance to companies and workers facing management difficulties," and added, "We hope that by securing dormitories for companies, a stable employment environment will be created, attracting talented individuals to Miryang City."
