[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) has produced a support campaign video to encourage residents experiencing inconveniences due to COVID-19 and all medical staff, public officials, and volunteers who are tirelessly and devotedly working day and night to overcome the pandemic.

Residents and employees of Dongdaemun-gu, as well as celebrities including sports stars and entertainers, joined voices in a relay of support messages to overcome COVID-19.

From children to the elderly, employees working at Dongdaemun-gu screening clinics, firefighters, Dongdaemun-gu promotional ambassador singer No Ji-hoon, former soccer player Hwang Sun-hong, comedian Kim Han-guk, former gymnast Yeo Hong-chul, former volleyball player Jang Yoon-chang, and former judo athlete Kim Jae-yeop all delivered a unified message through the video: “Although times are difficult and challenging now, if everyone unites, we will surely overcome COVID-19.”

Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “As the COVID-19 situation prolongs, medical staff on the front lines, public health center employees, volunteers, and everyone are going through exhausting and difficult days. I commend everyone’s efforts, and if we all come together to encourage and support each other even in these tough times, the day when we can take off our masks and smile will come soon.”
