[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Incheon City has recognized that a woman in her 60s who tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) visited a temple in Incheon with her son in his 40s, who was under self-quarantine, and has decided to report them to the police.
On the 6th, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon City, announced that it plans to report A (67, female) and her son B (41, male) to the police on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.
A and B are family members of C (69, male), the 58th confirmed case in Incheon. They were classified as close contacts of the confirmed patient and have been under self-quarantine since the 29th of last month.
A tested negative in specimen tests conducted on the 28th of last month and the 1st of this month, but was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 in the third test conducted the day before.
On the 3rd, A visited a temple located in Yeonsu-gu on foot with her son B. They stayed at the temple for about an hour from 4:30 p.m. and then returned home to their residence in Okryeon-dong.
Meanwhile, Yeonsu-gu also confirmed that D (31), who entered from France and had been under self-quarantine since the 23rd of last month, left his residence in Songdo International City. D is known to have moved without permission and is currently staying in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Yeonsu-gu plans to check for additional movement routes through closed-circuit television (CCTV) near the residences of those who left without permission and to comprehensively review violations to report them to the authorities.
