[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 6th that it will start accepting applications for the Jeonnam-type COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses from the 7th.

The Jeonnam-type COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses is a living stabilization fund that provides up to 500,000 KRW to households with a median income of 100% or less.

The Jeonnam-type COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses are paid separately from the emergency disaster relief funds promoted by the government.

The county expects that 4,900 households out of 13,000 households in the jurisdiction will benefit.

The support amount is paid once, differentiated from a minimum of 300,000 KRW to a maximum of 500,000 KRW depending on the number of household members.

Households with two or fewer members receive 300,000 KRW, households with 3 to 4 members receive 400,000 KRW, and households with 5 or more members receive 500,000 KRW. The support funds will be provided in Gurye Love Gift Certificates to revitalize the local economy.

The county posted the support plan on the county office website on the 6th and plans to accept applications at the town and township offices of the address from the 7th.

To maintain social distancing, applications will be accepted on a five-day rotation system according to the last digit of the birth year. The application dates coincide with the purchase dates for public masks.

The head of the household or a household member can apply, and applicants must bring an ID card and health insurance card or health insurance qualification certificate.

Eligible recipients were selected based on health insurance premiums according to the type of insurance subscription. Households enrolled in regional health insurance are selected based on health insurance premiums only, while households with workplace and mixed health insurance are selected based on health insurance premiums plus property criteria.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “I hope the Jeonnam-type emergency living expenses will be of some help,” and added, “We will promote various support measures such as reducing water and sewage fees for residents who are experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19.”
