[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] A social network service (SNS) account presumed to belong to Jo Joo-bin (25), the suspect in the so-called 'Nth Room' case, who threatened minors and women to produce sexual exploitation materials and sold them, is causing controversy. In response, celebrities who appear to have been followed by Jo Joo-bin have directly expressed their positions and revealed their discomfort.
On the 24th, Yeonwoo, formerly of Momoland, said through her Instagram story, "I blocked it. Do you avoid poop because you're scared? You avoid it because it's disgusting. Everyone, please be careful."
Announcer Shin Ah-young posted a photo on her Instagram with the caption "I feel like vomiting." Shin said, "I was contacted by a former student after a long time. They told me that an Instagram account presumed to be that of the Nth Room operator was following me, so I should block it immediately." She added, "I checked, and it was true. I blocked it right away, but the uneasy feeling doesn't go away easily," expressing her anger.
She continued, "Just the fact that this person was following me is creepy and makes me hate it so much, but how about the young girls who suffered direct harm? The suspects must be punished, of course, but how can the trauma and wounds of the victims be healed? Why is the world really like this?" she raised her voice.
Actress Lee Da-in also wrote on her Instagram story the same day, "Blocked the Instagram account presumed to be Jo Joo-bin’s." She added, "I never thought I was being followed, so it’s scary," and "I’m very thankful to many people who sent messages expressing concern."
Following this, actress Kim Ha-young said, "It’s so creepy. Devils with ordinary faces who were around us. I hope they receive the judgment of the law," and said she blocked the account presumed to be Jo Joo-bin’s.
Kim Ha-young said, "If you were born a human, you shouldn’t do that. Strong punishment for the Telegram Nth Room. We should live like humans while we live."
