On the 12th, the TV Chosun entertainment program 'Tomorrow is Mr. Trot' (Mr. Trot) aired the final performances of the last seven finalists: Jang Min-ho, Kim Hee-jae, Kim Ho-joong, Jung Dong-won, Young Tak, Lee Chan-won, and Lim Young-woong.
During the broadcast, MC Kim Sung-joo announced the postponement of the winner announcement just before revealing the results. Kim Sung-joo said, "The company in charge of text voting reported that due to server problems, the tallying must continue throughout the night. To ensure transparent and fair counting, the final results will be withheld until the voting results are confirmed. Even if it takes time, we will count every single vote without omission. The results will be revealed on Thursday the 19th at 10 PM during the 'Taste of Mr. Trot Talk Concert.'"
The final round consisted of two stages: the 'Composer Mission' and the 'Life Song Mission.' The first round, the 'Composer Mission,' tested how well the contestants could quickly master new songs provided by composers.
The first stage of the finals was opened by Jang Min-ho. He passionately sang "Yeokjjeon Insaeng," an EDM trot song composed by Hong Jung-soo. Jang Min-ho received a highest master score of 95 points and a lowest of 80 points for this stage. For the Life Song Mission, he performed Jo Hang-jo's "Because I Am a Man," scoring a highest of 98 points and a lowest of 88 points.
Next, Kim Hee-jae took the stage. He chose "I Am a Man," composed by Kim Jin-ryong, showcasing his signature sharp choreography. Despite the intense dance, his live singing remained steady, earning high praise from the masters. Kim Hee-jae received a highest score of 96 points and a lowest of 79 points. For the Life Song Mission, he sang Kim Soo-hee's "Lost Affection," receiving a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 85 points.
The third performer was Kim Ho-joong. He performed "Baramnam," a trot song with tango rhythm composed by Yoon Myung-sun. After his performance, Jang Yoon-jung praised, "Among the final seven, this is a song only Kim Ho-joong can sing." Kim Ho-joong scored a highest of 97 points and a lowest of 82 points. For the Life Song Mission, he passionately sang Jo Hang-jo's "Thank You," earning a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 90 points.
Following was the youngest finalist, Jung Dong-won, who performed "Yeobaek," composed by Kim Jong-hwan. He received a highest score of 97 points and a lowest of 79 points. For the Life Song Mission, he sang Bae Ho's "Who Is Crying," scoring a highest of 98 points and a lowest of 87 points.
The fifth stage was taken by Young Tak. He performed "Jjin-iya," demonstrating stable vocal skills while executing various choreographies. Young Tak received a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 81 points. For the Life Song Mission, he performed Lee Mi-ja's "The Reason for My Life," earning a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 88 points.
Next was Lee Chan-won. He passionately sang "Ttak! Pul," composed by Lee Ru. Lee Chan-won received a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 81 points. For the Life Song Mission, he performed Na Hoon-a's "18-year-old Sooni," receiving a highest score of 100 points and a lowest of 91 points.
Finally, Lim Young-woong, who had taken the runner-up position multiple times, took the stage. He performed "Two Fists," composed by Park Hyun-jin. After his performance, Jang Yoon-jung praised it as "an exciting and full stage." Broadcaster Boom commented, "It was the most powerful action since the 'Yain Era'." Lim Young-woong received a highest score of 99 points and a lowest of 81 points. For the Life Song Mission, he performed Do Seong's "Traitor," scoring a highest of 100 points and a lowest of 94 points.
Meanwhile, the final winner of the Mr. Trot finals is scheduled to be revealed a week later, on the 19th, during the special 'Taste of Mr. Trot' talk concert broadcast.
