Fontaine Okkudak and Ssaltongdak Launch Handmade Chicken 'Meongchikin' Exclusively for Pets

As interest in pets grows, more customers are seeking high-quality food and treats that consider the health and nutrition of their dogs.

In response, Fonten Co., Ltd.'s chicken brand Okkudak (Oven Baked Chicken) and Ssaltongdak introduced "Meong Chicken," a chicken exclusively for dogs, last January, focusing on pet health and nutritional content.

An official stated, "Meong Chicken is a handmade chicken product for dogs, prepared so that owners can order and eat chicken together with their pets without feeling guilty or hesitant." They added, "It is made by oven-roasting fresh domestic chicken breast, doubling the protein content. The product is highly palatable, contains no MSG, includes fructooligosaccharides that help gut health, natural antioxidant rosemary extract, and is coated with rice grains and brown rice, which contain essential amino acids."

They continued, "Currently, positive feedback is being shared on social media, and sales are gradually increasing."

This product is a finished product made by a pet food specialist company and is not cooked at the stores. It is available for takeout and delivery at over 300 Okkudak (Oven Baked Chicken) and Ssaltongdak locations nationwide, priced at 5,000 KRW.

Meanwhile, Ssaltongdak, which sells "Meong Chicken," is running a 3,000 KRW coupon discount event by day of the week on Baedal Minjok.
