Park Young-sun, Minister of SMEs and Startups, is speaking at the 'Startup Meeting to Promote the Development of COVID-19 Mask Map' held on the 10th at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will operate a one-stop support desk for the development of a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) map. It plans to provide customized support necessary for development as well as promote connection and collaboration.
On the 10th, according to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, a 'Startup Meeting to Promote the Development of a COVID-19 Mask Map' was held at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. About 10 people, including Minister Park Young-sun and startup representatives, attended. Seven startups, including Modak and Goodoc, participated.
Minister Park discussed the COVID mask map development plans and schedules with the attending startups and listened to their suggestions. The attendees explained various development plans such as sequential purchase calls via KakaoTalk, implementing mask information on the COVID map, and partnerships for developing overseas public application programming interface (API) mashups.
Additionally, the startups requested support for access to accurate data, integrated promotion of the COVID map, cooperation from government agencies, and collaboration with large corporations.
Minister Park said, "If startups come together with various innovative attempts, COVID-19 can be sufficiently overcome," adding, "We will spare no support for startups developing mask maps that alleviate the inconvenience of mask purchases for the public with creative ideas."
