Resumption of Enlistment for About 320 Active Duty Soldiers in Daegu, Cheongdo, and Gyeongsan Areas

[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu]The enlistment of active-duty soldiers residing in Daegu, Cheongdo, and Gyeongsan, which had been temporarily suspended, will resume from the 9th.

According to the Military Manpower Administration on the 9th, the total number of personnel is about 320, including approximately 200 from the Army and 120 from the Air Force. To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), they will travel by group bus from the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Military Manpower Administration to the temporary training center. Before boarding the vehicle, COVID-19 prevention measures such as fever checks and questionnaire completion will be strictly followed.

After enlistment, they will undergo a two-week preventive quarantine period at the temporary training center, and if no symptoms appear, they will move to their originally assigned units to receive training.
